It was a good story which also throws some light on beliefs and superstitions of He also rolled-over debtconverting it into loans that would mature in three to five years’ time, and pulled out of joint venture deals with companies such as Etam.

His family members hold significant managerial positions in the firm, while he hires professionals to cater to the other specialized needs of the business. He has been implementing design thinking in his firm way before corporates caught up to it, this shows the level of foresight this man has.

Goosebumps event of Big Bazaar and progress. Good to read for someone who a frank account of origin and growth of future group.
And I really liked how the book has regular interviews of his colleagues. So mythology suits his sensibilities. That way every business book is a PR stunt. Future group had confidence in the consumption power of Indian consumer and thus focused on the common people.
This book gives an insight into how an average Indian shops, how indian business work, and how to take ideas from ones immediate environment to build something which suits or caters to the needs of the majority. Even in school, he opted to do things the unconventional way. The short narrations by various stakeholders attached to the business make the book interesting. Drag according to your convenience. Big Bazaar was a huge success; it drew many customers with its strong advertising techniques.
The book talks in a colloquial language.

Biyani which is a good value add. The business, which supplied a few retail outlet, adopted the brand name of Pantaloon and soon expanded into retail itself using a franchise model.
V V K Chandra. I am not sure if I did like this book. Big bazaar, Pantaloons and Central must have bitani every Indian consumer through its product diversity and competitive pricing.
Kishorji had tremendous faith in himself as well in people working with him.
